What happened is :
On Saturday whilst taking a shower I realised my head was ultra sensitive, i couldn't wash my hair to hard and then it got really tangled when I was drying it. I didn't think too much of it.
I also remember waking up with my teeth hurting in the morning, I'm think I grinded my teeth again.
On Sunday at my cousins place, my mouth was so painful. I tried warm Chamomile tea but it would hurt, I hardly could eat anything properly as it felt like my recently fixed up tooth was really sensitive and was transmitting pain throughout the entire half of the mouth , like a pulsating throbbing feeling. Hot or cold would be so painful. That whole day I was trying things to sooth it but nothing really worked.
On Monday, I would take hot water in a mug and just place it against my cheek to sooth the pain. This helped and then i would drink the tea once it became room temp. I got home and examined my teeth on the half side of my mouth and they all felt really sore.
TOOTH PAIN REMEDY THAT WORKED:
I tried salt in warm water and swishing it around which helped.
So did having pure coconut oil in my mouth. I just took a spoonful of solidified coconut oil (its cold here!)on the tooth and let it melt in my mouth.
Word of caution, i tried garlic and layered pieces of garlic over the tooth- it hurt and made things so painful!! Dont do that!
On Tuesday (yesterday) my mouth was heaps better, I didn't eat on my left side at all and the trobbing had majorly decreased. My tooth only hurt.
Hubby was saying due to the recent cold temps, maybe i had a headcold or something. Could make sense, plus I grind and that doesn't really help either!
TODAY Wednesday, I just ate a tuna sandwich with cold apple juice and tooth didn't hurt from the coldness. I'm still going to the Dentist to get xray to see if it is okay and no nerve damage was caused. I might see if he an de-sensitise my teeth and get a mouthguard for the grinding. If the nerve is damaged then there is no point doing a root canal as I've had 4 fillings on this same tooth, thus only option is to remove it :(
- UPDATE: Didn't get tooth removed, nerve looks okay and so dos the filling. Is the tooth hurts again then I will have to get it pulled out or get a root canal.
Dentist provide Antibiotics and I asked him to make a mouthguard for me. Also I requested a quote for how much it would be to remove a tooth and make a new plate for 3 teeth- quotes ends up being $985!
I really don't want to remove another tooth, so I am going to try using St Johns Wort as it helps with nerve rejuvenation and repairs.
Also, St Johns Wort helps with Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (aka TMJ) which I think I have as my left side jaw hurts. I was kicked in the face on that side, thus think maybe my jaw was dislodged and never repaired it self properly. This TMJ also has much to do with the teeth grinding.
Also another thing is to avoid eating sweet food and white flour as that promotes bacteria growth (and I eat heaps of this..no wonder I have tooth problems!).
I need to take fermented cod liver oil (vit A and D), fish, bone broth (as there is collagen in bone, which helps with your human bones), grass fed dairy products and silica. Even trying oil pulling with virgin coconut oil for 20mins.
