So for those who don’t know what Pretty Little Liars is, here’s a quick re-cap:
A group of four Rosewood High students embark on a rollercoaster of a life time when their group leader goes missing. Aria Montgomery, Emily Fields, Hanna Marin, and Spencer Hastings — whose clique falls apart after the disappearance of their group leader, Alison DiLaurentis. Three years later all four girls are back at Rosewood, “Ali’s” body is found in the house where she used to live, and the girls start getting text messages from ‘A’ who threatens to expose their secrets, especially ones that only Alison knew.
The girls end up having a lot of their secrets revealed within the group, some secrets even break families, throughout the episodes it is constantly a battle to find out who A is.
We find out that the body buried at Ali’s house isn’t actually Ali, its another girl who looks like Ali. Ali is actually alive and hiding from A. She is worried A will kill her for good this time. Ali has been helping the girls the whole time A is endangering their lives.
So far so many people have been thought to be A- for example Toby, Ian, Mya, Mona, Ezra and now Jessica Dilarentes (Ali’s mum!)
In this final episode Alison reveals a bit about what happened that night she got hit and buried alive.
- Ali overheard her mum on the phone saying “How can this happen? I’m very worried” and her mum told her not to go out that night – I would assume someone is out to get Alison and her mum knew who it was. Maybe someone escaped?
- Ali put sleeping pills in all of the girls drinks and they slept through out the night- Ali did this to make sure the girls weren't A.
- Ali met Toby. He was outside the barn and wanted to tell Ali he felt free now from what she had done to Jenna. He offered his jacket as she was cold.
- Ali met with Ezra (she had met him at a party she attended with CeCe Drake) and he was upset she had lied about her age to him. She said she was 21 but she wasn't. They parted on good terms. He just worried about her and said he didn't want to see her get hurt. Nothing happened between Ezra and Ali.
- Ali met Ian at the kissing rock and she told him to back off and leave her alone. She thought that Ian, Melissa were part of the A team. Melissa knew that Ian had been seeing Ali behind her back. Nothing happened between Ian and Ali.
- Ali then saw Mr Montgomery and told him she would tell Aria about the affair he was having with his student. He said she wouldn't do that to Aria. They left on ok terms.
- Then Ali went back to the house and she saw her mum standing at the window. Her mum gave off a frightened look and then Ali was knocked out un-conscious by a rock.
- Ali remembers her mum saying “Look what you have done?!” whilst she is burying Ali alive in the backyard. Ali tried to talk and move, but nothing came out. So her mum really thought Ali was dead.
· Mrs D knows who the killer was but kept quite. Who was she covering for?
· Mrs G from Ravenswood finds Ali and helps her out of the grave and drives her to the hospital
· At the Hospital, Ali makes a run for it and Mona picks her up and help her out
· Mona knew all the time that Ali was alive.
In the final 5 minutes:
- Spencer’s parents and sister Melissa are called into the police station (Apparently Toby visited Melissa n London and told her Spencer needed her- Why was Toby in London?)
- Mrs D is also there, she finds out Ali is apparently alive
- Melissa whispers who killed the girl to her dad, confirming Spencer didn't kill anyone
- The girl are attacked by A, shooting at them
- Ezra appears out of nowhere and says “I know who you are” to A before getting shot by A whilst trying to save the girls (so now it seems Ezra is the good guy, but I’m not sure. He could be part of the A team)
- A jumps off across building and makes a get away before the girls could find out who A is.
- Mrs D is shown getting buried somewhere by A.
- (I’m thinking this was not A, maybe someone from the A team?)
- (Spoiler- Apparently Ezra doesn't die)
Weird things from last episode 4 x23 I thought would've been answered -
- Why does Mrs D have girly clothing in Alison’s bedroom if she thought Ali was dead? Who are the clothes for?
- Why was Mrs D in Spencer room looking all stakerish?
This show really is addictive and screws with your brain. Constantly changing who A could be.
Now I have to wait till June to watch it...
